The Flying Dutchman is coming to Båstad! Experience a unique open-air opera performance featuring world-class artists, 100 choir singers, and the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra in Richard Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman at the Båstad Tennis Stadium. This scenic outdoor production stars Swedish soprano Elisabet Strid as Senta and will be performed on 8 August 2026.

Wagner’s Flying Dutchman Arrives in Båstad
Richard Wagner’s dramatic and romantic opera The Flying Dutchman follows last summer’s audience success, Aida. The opera is based on a maritime legend about a ship whose crew is doomed to sail the seas forever… In addition to the Dutchman himself, the young woman Senta stands at the centre of the story.
