Safety Measures at Hotel Skansen

Welcoming and taking care of guests is the very core of what we do and who we are within GRAM Group. It is important that you feel safe in our hotels and restaurants. Here you can read about how we work at Hotel Skansen. We also give tips on what you can think about during your stay.

General guidelines, throughout the hotel:

  • The hotel is currently not included by the government’s requirement for Covid-19 pass and we will not require vaccination certificates from our guests.
  • We follow the Public Health Agency’s (Folkhälsomyndighetens) guidelines and recommendations.
  • All staff take extra good hand hygiene and stay home in case of symptoms of illness.
  • There are hand sanitizer stations available in public areas around the hotel.
  • We are extra careful with cleaning of contact surfaces, such as door handles and elevator buttons.
  • At times, many gather. We remind all guests of their own responsibility, good hand hygiene and distance between each other. Floor markings guide you to keep your distance.

At the reception area:

  • We maintain social distance, even during busy hours. Sit down in a lounge chair in one of the hotel’s common areas whilst ONE guest in your party checks in.
  • We remind all guests to maintain physical distance from each other. We use floor markings to provide clear indications.
  • On the departure day, please settle your bill at the reception on your way to or from breakfast to avoid any queues during check-out. Once you have paid your bill, you can leave your room key at the express check-out when you leave your room.

At the spa and cold bath house:

  • It is often a good idea to plan your visit for early mornings (approx. 7–8 AM), around lunch (approx. 11 AM–2 PM) or late evening (last hour), as it is usually less crowded during these times.
  • We can only accept a limited number of people at a time at the Spa and Cold Bath House. Waiting times may occur.

In the restaurant:

  • As of January 12, all serving closes at 23.00 according to the government’s newly introduced restrictions.
  • As of January 12, a maximum of 8 people per party are allowed to sit together in the restaurant.
  • Breakfast is served during set hours. You will receive your time slot upon check-in.
  • At lunch we offer plate service to those who wish and at dinner only table service applies.
  • We have only seated serving and keep 1 meter between each party in the restaurant.
  • Our extended routines for cleaning public spaces also include all areas of our restaurant.
  • If you want to enjoy your meal in your room instead of in the restaurant, you can order and bring up to the room.

In case of illness:

  • Our employees do not come to work if they have any symptoms.
  • If a guest should prove to be sick at the hotel, we have developed an action plan in consultation with the hotel physician.
    We hope you will feel safe here, knowing that we are doing everything we can for your safety.

Meetings and conferences:

  • Meetings and conferences are still allowed if they are kept closed by the public. Recommendations to keep a distance from each other and other guests, wash your hands and stay at home if you feel the slightest bad applies.
  • The Government and the Swedish Public Health Agency call for your own responsibility and it is therefore up to each company to make a risk assessment before you visit us. If you choose to hold your meeting or conference, you can be assured that we follow the Swedish Public Health Agency’s recommendations and guidelines.
  • Inform affected participants with symptoms before your visit not to follow. Together with the coordinators, you plan for a safe stay, eg breakfast times and spacious premises.
  • Group check-in can be offered to avoid queues at reception.

Cancellation Policy

For more flexible booking conditions, purchase one of our cancellation protection options. Cancellation protection can be added to the booking until the regular cancellation period begins.

Individual bookings, 1-9 rooms (Packages including dinner and Longstay)

  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions without cancellation protection
    Free cancellation and rebooking up to 7 days before arrival. In case of cancellation later than 7 days before arrival, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.
  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions with cancellation protection 48 hours before arrival (SEK 150/ person)
    Free (excl. cancellation protection fee) cancellation and rebooking up to 48 hours before arrival. If canceled and rebooked later than 48 hours before arrival, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.
  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions with cancellation protection until 12:00 on the day of arrival (SEK 300/ person)
    Free (excl. cancellation protection fee) cancellation and rebooking until 12:00 on the day of arrival. In case of cancellation later than 12:00 on the day of arrival, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.

Individual bookings, 1-9 rooms (Bed/ Breakfast and Bed/ Breakfast/ Spa)

  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions without cancellation protection
    Free cancellation and rebooking up to 48 hours before arrival. If canceled and rebooked later than 48 hours, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.
  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions with cancellation protection until 12.00 on the day of arrival (SEK 300/ person)
    Free (excl. cancellation protection fee) cancellation and rebooking until 12:00 on the day of arrival. In case of cancellation later than 12:00 on the day of arrival, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.

Group bookings, 10 rooms or more

  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions without cancellation protection
    Free cancellation and rebooking up to 30 days before arrival. In case of cancellation later than 30 days before arrival, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.
  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions with cancellation protection 48 hours before arrival (SEK 150/ person)
    Free (excl. cancellation protection fee) cancellation and rebooking of individual rooms in the group booking up to 48 hours before arrival. If canceled and rebooked later than 48 hours, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.
  • Cancellation and rebooking conditions with cancellation protection until 12:00 on the day of arrival (SEK 300/ person)
    Free (excl. cancellation protection fee) cancellation and rebooking of individual rooms in the group booking until 12:00 on the day of arrival. In case of cancellation later than 12:00, 100% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.
